Shatavari & Shilajit

An Ayurveda-inspired formula for periods of transition

Certain periods of life are accompanied by changes in rhythm, energy, or sensations. Shatavari has long held a special place in Ayurveda, particularly in uses related to women's health. Ômara has chosen it as the base of this formula and combined it with Shilajit.

Two capsules provide 800 mg of concentrated Shatavari root extract (Asparagus racemosus) and 200 mg of purified Himalayan Shilajit, standardized to 70% fulvic acid.

800 mg of Shatavari per daily dose
200 mg of purified Shilajit per daily dose
70% fulvic acid indicated for Shilajit
30 days with 2 capsules per day

Shatavari at the heart of the formula

The root of Shatavari is used here, in the form of a concentrated extract. It accounts for 80% of the two active ingredients in the daily dose. Its use in Ayurveda is ancient, while several recent clinical trials have begun to study different Shatavari extracts in women.

Shilajit as a complement

Shilajit is a natural substance from mountainous regions, purified before use. The formula provides 200 mg per day, with a stated standardization of 70% fulvic acid.

Batch SS251127 analysis: heavy metals, microbiology, ethylene oxide, and multi-residue panel. Full reports are available in the "Analysis" tab.

The studies cited in the "Tradition & Research" tab relate to specific extracts and dosages, different from those in this formula.

Tradition & Research

Shatavari, from Ayurveda to clinical research

The use of Shatavari is ancient. In Ayurveda, its root is traditionally associated with the different stages of women's lives. Modern clinical research on the plant is much more recent and currently focuses on several root extracts with different characteristics.

In recent years, human trials have notably studied Shatavari in perimenopausal, menopausal, and postmenopausal women. Other work has focused on muscle function. Shilajit has also been the subject of clinical studies, particularly on muscle and bone parameters.

What the studies have investigated

Perimenopause and Menopause

Recent randomized trials have used different Shatavari root extracts and evaluated symptom and quality of life scales, among other things.

Muscle function

Studies in postmenopausal women measured muscle strength and certain markers of the muscle's response to supplementation.

Shilajit

A trial conducted in postmenopausal women with osteopenia investigated bone mineral density and bone remodeling markers with a standardized Shilajit extract, among other things.

Different extracts from Ômara's

The extracts used in these trials are not identical to those in this formula. Dosages, standardization, and duration of intake also vary from study to study. Their results therefore do not describe the effects of Ômara capsules.

The extraction ratio and any standardization in shatavarins of the Shatavari extract used here are not indicated in the currently available documents.

What is fulvic acid?

Fulvic acid is a naturally occurring organic compound, resulting from the slow decomposition of plant matter by microorganisms over millions of years. It belongs to the family of humic substances (along with humic acid) and is particularly known for its chelating properties: it binds to minerals and facilitates their transport throughout the body. Fulvic acid is soluble in water at all pH levels and has a small molecular size, allowing it to easily cross cell membranes.

Fulvic acid is one of the main active components of shilajit. It plays several essential roles:

  • It binds to the trace elements present in shilajit and facilitates their absorption by cells.
  • It helps neutralize free radicals responsible for cellular aging.
  • It can help improve energy production (ATP) in mitochondria.
  • It binds to certain toxins and heavy metals to promote their elimination.

What exactly is Shilajit?

Shilajit is a natural mineral resin obtained from the slow decomposition of medicinal plants and organic matter, compressed in the rocks of the high Himalayan mountains .

Rich in fulvic acid , minerals , antioxidants and trace elements , it has been used for thousands of years in Ayurveda to revitalize the body and mind .

What are the benefits of Shilajit?

Here are the main effects reported:

  • Increased energy, vitality and stamina
  • Improved cognitive functions (concentration, mental clarity)
  • Natural libido support
  • Strengthening the immune system
  • Slowing down the aging process
  • Reduced stress, better resistance to tension
  • Hormonal balance and gentle detoxification
  • Improved muscle recovery and reduced fatigue

To date, neither the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) nor the SCAV (Consumer and Veterinary Service) have published any confirmed statements on the effects of shilajit or fulvic acid. Therefore, potential effects are not discussed here.

The combination of traditional history and scientific research makes shilajit a substance that arouses interest in the field of natural products.

How long does it take to feel the effects?

It varies from person to person, but in general:

  • Effects on energy and focus can be felt within days
  • Deeper effects (hormonal, immune) appear after 2 to 4 weeks of regular use

A minimum 30-day course of treatment is recommended for lasting results.

Is the taste strong?

Yes, pure Shilajit has an intense , slightly bitter and earthy taste.

This is normal: it is a sign of purity and concentration .

You can sweeten it by mixing it with almond milk, raw cacao, or honey if needed.

The resin is hard, what should I do?

This is normal! Gently warm the jar (e.g., in a bowl of hot water). It will become soft again.

🌿 100% natural, no additives.

Can I combine it with other adaptogens?

Yes! Shilajit acts as a natural amplifier :

  • It works very well with adaptogenic mushrooms (Cordyceps, Reishi, Lion's Mane)
  • Can be combined with herbs such as ashwagandha to support hormonal balance

Can I take it on a trip?

Absolutely. Shilajit keeps very well in its airtight container , at room temperature.

It does not require refrigeration. Perfect for on-the-go or travel routines.
